 | Artist: Kaleidovisions We use a variety of woods for our Kaleidoscopes including natural cherry; plum pudding, fiddleback and regular mahogany; curly, quilted, and birdseye maple; padouk; walnut; rosewood; and many others as we can get them.
Our object chambers are filled with oil and a variety of materials. Generally, if you are ordering a single scope and it's a side lite, we use mixed glass for the most spectacular effect. If it's an end lite, we use all dichroic glass as it gives the most vibrant color.

 | Artist: William Melstrom Spiral Studio I find the inherent challenges posed by creating crystalline glazes to be alluring. It requires both an analytical mind and a preoccupation with experimentation to bend crystals to one's will. Also required is the selective eye of the artist, the ability to recognize success and the intuition required to transform the successful into the sublime. Beautiful crystalline glazes are as stimulating to make as they are inspiring to behold.
