I’ve always loved making things and I’ve always loved paper. Making hand crafted cards is how A Little Hut got started in 2004.
I design and produce everything that you see here. As an independent graphic designer, I’m in front of a computer a lot so A Little Hut gives me the opportunity to be creative in a different way.

I have always loved jewelry in nearly every form and began making my own designs over 10 years ago. Back then, it was beads, knots and wire only. After an unexpected lay-off in 2004, I printed up some business cards and hit the shops to see if I could turn my hobby into a budding business.
I am drawn to many different mediums and am always employing new methods in my jewelry designs. I believe jewelry should be an enhancer to personal style, that extra spark that allows us to stand out.

Ampersand Cards is a dreamer's dream come true. One of my earliest cards reads, "I decided that the world of work was not conducive to joy, and so I became a dreamer of dreams that come true. I'm much happier now."
My dream was (and still is) to have my work be more congruent with my creative spirit, to live the life I imagined for myself when I was 17, by letting my creative self breathe deeply and dance. My hope is that my cards will encourage others to dream and do and to expect their dreams to come true, too.

Bird in a Skirt was created in 2004 by Vickey Jang as a way to sell the bags and clothing she crafted in her home studio. Paper goods were shortly added to the list, and before Vickey knew it, stationery had taken over the site as well as most of her free time.
In January 2006, Bird in a Skirt re-emerged as a stationery retailer and wholesaler. It remains true to both its roots and original aim of brining you simple but thoughtful designs that evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Artist: Cynthia Luhrs Designs
Much of my art crosses over into mixed media jewelry . The adventure of discovering unique pieces to use in my art is as exciting as the creation process itself. I enjoy using vintage maps, old postcards and other antique pictures for my polymer clay image pieces. My abstract pieces are inspired by Rothko and Pollock, and are truly one of a kind.
My work is created in my studio which is dedicated to painting and jewelry and made solely by me.

Clare has lived above and below the equator and on both sides of the Atlantic. Her wanderlust is one of the major influences in her jewelry, and it provides her with a wealth
of inspiration - from the bright colors of her native Africa to the sparkle of city lights in her adopted home.
Clare hand-makes all of her jewelry using gemstones, metal and crystals carefully sourced
from all over the world.

Enid Wilson graduated with BFA majoring in painting and minoring in printmaking. Growing up she was heavily influenced by textiles, surface design and fashion while spending her days after school at her mom's fabric store. Enid Wilson's cards and correspondance pieces take an everyday utilitarian item into the realm of being precious object and an extension of one's personal style.
