 | Artist: Kimono Designs As more people come to appreciate the beauty and history of vintage textiles, these treasured fabrics are becoming increasingly scarce. Even for Japanese women of today, kimonos and obis have become family heirlooms, not everyday wear.
I enjoy fashioning them into hand-crafted jackets, handbags, scarves and neckties. It's my pleasure not just to recycle, but to resurrect these vintage works of fiber art to create unique, contemporary clothing designs especially for you.

 | Artist: Ibis Arts My current work focuses on creating decorative textiles for my studio based business, Ibis Arts. These textile pieces, designed to bring color and comfort to our homes, include hand dyed and hand printed cloth, hand painted canvas mats for table and floor, feather filled pillows, and fiber based wall pieces. My work is colorful and whimsical but, at the same time, functional and durable.
I am greatly influenced by contemporary architecture and industrial design and by mid-twentieth century abstract and color field painters. I work with pattern and form, mark making and response, and with the tension between decision making and chance. I am inspired by the grand design implicit in our natural world and by textiles from all times and cultures.

 | Artist: In Art Studio Without an art degree, would anyone take me seriously? Maybe not. But at least I will get their attention. I believe that my background gives me a creative edge. Unencumbered by traditional art training, I have the freedom to combine my art with my high tech design knowledge. I know materials, how they behave and react, and understand their chemistry and properties. I am not afraid to try new ideas, to step outside the boundaries of traditional art.
I believe a painting can be more than just paint on canvas. As a Mechanical Designer, I am trained to see ideas as 3-Dimensional images. As a result, I am always trying to find a better way to translate that image to a 2 dimensional canvas. This unconventional thinking leads to innovative art.
|
 | Artist: Karen Gelardi My current work focuses on generating customized raw materials and components that are used to create 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional collages. The work explores a re-invented nature that comes from being fractured, grafted and re-assembled. Materials and components include works on paper, taped elements, drawings printed onto fabric, sewn fabric forms, plastic elements and polymer prints.

 | Artist: Claudia Rae Designs Designer, Melissa is the sole owner, designer and purveyor of Claudia Rae Designs. After leaving a successful career in sales, in 2004, she entered into the 'world' of designing. She has always loved designing in areas such as interior design, art and painting. However, she decided to take her experience and turn it into a business of handmade handbags. With the ability to work with all types of designs, colors and textures, you will find many different styles in her shop: with a wide variety of sizes, shapes textiles and colors choices.

Artist: Rebel Quilter Using hand-dyed silks, high quality cottons and various mongrel fabrics, such as glistening metallics, my assemblages are layered and quilted using the tricky technique of freehand, freemotion machine quilting. The bulls-eye motif has become the foundation for most of my work—a universal symbol that is perfect for corporate, hospitality, public, healthcare and residential environments.
The colors I am drawn to are saturated and rich—seldom the combinations found in traditional quilts. My signature style has won many awards in fiber art exhibitions, multimedia exhibitions, as well as fine art festivals throughout the nation.

I feel fortunate to have a family that understands the value of craft and has always supported me in my creative endeavors. I hope you enjoy my work!

Artist: Cyberoptix TieLab Our ties are hand-silkscreened onto 100% charmeuse silk or microfiber; the microfiber is a rich, soft fabric resembling silk. Charmeuse silk is a much more expensive and elegant soft silk, smooth with a slight sheen to it. We only use high quality waterbased inks which require no harmful solvents, this is better for both the health of our shop and for the health of our planet. Waterbased inks have a much softer hand on fine fabrics and will never crack over time as plastisol inks do.
