Eshelman PotteryArtist: Eshelman Pottery
I have always been drawn to the functional object. I seek the age-old marriage of elegant function and visually interesting form.

Aesthetically I have been guided by Japanese and Chinese crafts, European design movements and simple utilitarian objects such as those produced by American Shakers. The best wares of these movements are beautifully conceived and crafted and are thoroughly functional.

The clay used in my pieces is a red stoneware which has been fired to vitrification; this yields a tough, nonporous surface. Areas are left unglazed to contrast visually and tactilely with the glazed surfaces. The glazes are all lead free. The wares may be safely used in the microwave and dishwasher as well as the conventional oven if the oven is not preheated. The pieces are designed for use and should provide many years of service.

Terry HabegerArtist: Terry Habeger
A full-time artist for 16 years, my clay forms, designs, painting style, and palette have all evolved over that time. I like the control I have with paint, but am also stimulated by the unexpected things that happen when different colors are brushed on a surface and placed side by side. I am also attracted to the contrasting physical movements involved in painting and working with clay. Working back and forth between 2-D and 3-D media, I am stimulated and challenged by the change in how space is viewed.

Lisa Peters ArtArtist: Lisa Peters Art
My items are made out of several different clay bodies such as stoneware and porcelain and fired using a variety of methods. Manipulating glaze, incorporating precious metal clay and other surprise elements onto the surface of my pieces yields wonderfully unexpected results, especially when fired using the Raku process, which is the method you will find most often in my work.

I strive to find beauty in the imperfect circle, the ragged-unfinished edge and the slightly crooked line. Formed by hand all pieces I create are totally unique. The perfect embellishment for your one of a kind, works of art.

Artist: Precious Pots
Clay is a wonderful substance and hopefully by viewing my work you will develop a new curiosity and interest in the stuff that has caused my heart to beat and consumed me day and night. My hands are constantly covered with clay and if you come by I will put some in your hands too!

Technical info - I Throw on an old Paul Soldner wheel using cone 6 stoneware clay, fire in an electric kiln and mix my own glazes. My work is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. I use all safe glazes that are lead free.

Artist: Tara Robertson
A committed stay-at-home mother and potter, Tara Robertson creates her unique artwork in her home studio. Her pottery is all hand-built, with vessels painstakingly formed from long coils or slabs of clay pinched together. A single vessel can take days or months to complete.

Artist: Cold Porcelain Designs
All my designs are hand sculpted using cold porcelain clay. Everything from the face to the ear or the tiniest flower is hand sculpted by me. I prepare, mix and cook the clay and then color it. Once the clay is ready to use, I then begin to sculpt my designs. All done, I seal the pieces with a matte lacquer spray and store them in a zip bag to prevent them from collecting dust. They are tucked away until they are ready to be sent away to their new homes.

Artist: Jeanette Zeis Ceramics
All of my work is produced using stoneware clay on a potter’s wheel. During the final throwing phase, the clay is manipulated to create the undulating waves and movement. I love to push the clay to its limits, stopping just short of collapse (or not.) Using this style of throwing is exciting. I’m never quite sure if my next push will ruin the piece or make it great.

Artist: Tasha McKelvey
My clay work is intended to be useful; this is art that is meant to be touched. In the past everything we used in the home was made by hand. Today our homes are filled with stuff stamped out by machines. When we seek out handmade art we make our surroundings a little more human.

I throw on the potter’s wheel or use slabs of clay to hand-build my clay forms - then use carved linoleum blocks or hand-carved stamps to impress my clay work. I also use carved linoleum to create the designs on my ceramic jewelry.

Artist: J. D. Wolfe Pottery
I have been working with clay and operating my own gallery for over a decade. I like to keep my forms minimalistic and multi-functional in use.

My decorations are inspired by nature (like so many artists). I take the world around me and break it down into it's simplest forms. The hills spotted with sage brush, new spring grasses and the mountain terrain, all make their appearance in my work, although in abstract form.

Artist: Block Party Press
Welcome to the Block Party Press. I finally found a way to combine many of my creative interests into one area. I love to use hand carved stamps (blocks, hence the Block Party title) to create amazing texture with polymer clay. I then further bring out the texture with acrylic paints. You will find many things in my shop, from jewelry to magnets and ACEO's.
