 | Artist: Wendy C. Thompson Art has always been a part of my life, and the Pacific Northwest offers a continually changing palette from which to draw inspiration. My studio shelves are filled with reference books and collections of bugs, feathers and dragonflies that I refer to for the accuracy and detail recognized in my work.
I love nature and I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, immersed in it, surrounded by it, preferably in the woods near pond and river. I am a self-taught artist, and I believe my work is very unique.

 | Artist: Archie Smith Instruments Welcome to Archie Smith Instruments. Here you will find information on the different types of instruments that I make. In the tradition of the fine Old World Craftsmen, I work alone. I design and plan, “scout out” and acquire the varied and specific materials that I want. I then cut, saw, resaw, bookmatch, glue, sign, date, number, drill, clamp, trim, carve, inlay, shape, sand, spray, buff, press, string, tune and play my instruments.
